Learn Acupuncture And Dragonfly Physical Therapy Manual

The Dragonfly Physical Therapy Manual was written by Dr. Milind Ambe who is a recipient of the Certificate of Appreciation from the American Acupuncture Association. Dr. Ambe has been a practicing acupuncturist for close to 35 years. That’s not a long time but in that time he has accumulated a large body of knowledge about acupuncture, acupressure and reflexology. In this book he shares a wealth of information on how you can develop your acupuncture and acupressure skills to help your body heal itself. In addition, he shares information on how to use reflexology properly and how to apply the various methods with patients.

What I like about this book is that it is a quick easy read. I liked that Dr. Ambe lays out what he does and why in simple language. It is very easy to understand and it is easy to apply to your body. He covers the body’s energy centers, meridians, chakras, limb channels, as well as the twelve meridians that exist on each human body. Also he covers what is the best way to apply the various techniques.

I also really enjoyed the descriptions of what each meridian does to the body. Each point is linked to a particular organ or part of the body. They also describe specific acupuncture points for each organ or part. The 12 meridians are important for transmitting qi through the body.

I found the twelve meridians interesting. He uses the Chinese symbol for each meridian. He also covers how these meridians are connected to the major chakra points on the body. That part of the body has twelve energy centers and each of them holds a color. The physical therapy manual goes into great detail on the connection between colors and the various acupressure points on the body.

The acupressure points are important and that is what draws the energy away from qi and towards the meridian points. Some manuals go into great detail on how to use the different acupressure points to draw the energy away. This is also helpful to reduce stress. He covers what happens if something is done at the wrong acupressure point.

I found that everything I learned about Dragonfly Bodywork seemed accurate to what I experienced. I didn’t feel like I was just reading a book or even talking to an expert. I felt comfortable with the man in the video. I would recommend this manual to anyone looking for information on how to use Chinese medicine and bodywork to correct imbalances of the body.
