Dragonfly Reverb has always been known for its wonderful sound effects and is well known as being the most affordable and easy to use reverb effect for both recording and mixing. Although, with time, the price of the software has gone up a little but still it remains amongst the most affordable tools for sound mixing and mastering. Many professional audio engineers that I have spoken with suggest using Dragonfly Reverb in their own live recordings. Even though, when mixing the final output, some people suggest using other types of reverb effects such as compressors but many professional audio engineers like using this particular type of reverb effect.
The reason why many audio engineers prefer using dragonfly reverb is because of its ability to generate some really unique sounds and this is what makes it so different from other similar effects. The latest version of dragonfly reverb adds even more features to the tool. The new suite now comes with four individual plug ins: Dragonfly Plate, Dragonfly Early Reflections and Dragonfly Hall.
The newest plug-in called Dragonfly Hall contains eleven different patches, four of which are dedicated to the treble range, two of which are dedicated to the bass range, and three of which are dedicated to the mid and high ranges. Another feature of this plug in is that it can be used as a VST or Apple Mac instrument plug in. So, not only can you use this dragonfly reverb for recording and mixing, but you can also use it with your favorite music software for Mac, PC, and Linux. To date, this free audio effect plugins collection contains thirty-seven different patches for all different ranges of frequencies.
