Dragonfly in Fairhope, Alabama

When: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, starting at noon. Where: On Main Street, Fairhope, Alabama. Serving: $8 selections of authentic Mexican cuisine ( tacos & rice dishes with various Asian & Mexican flavours served on a rustic table with beautiful patio seating). The place is somewhat hidden so you won’t be able to find it easily.

People: About 150 plus people come out of the restaurant every single day. There are always regulars, but new people (mostly those just passing by) mostly stop in for a bite to eat. Of course, the most popular dishes are the tacos and the rice/rice bowls with various Asian & Mexican flavours served on a rustic wooden table with beautiful patio seating. I love coming here, especially during the week when it’s not busy at all. I also like that they serve such different “types” of food – mainly seafood, meat, vegetables, other dishes with a variety of spices and sauces, desserts.

It also doesn’t matter if you come for lunch, dinner, or a quick snack because there is always another location open (also on Main Street, Fairhope). The restaurant is family-run with a few employees and a couple of full-time cooks. Prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Come try Dragonfly in Fairhope, AL!
